The Melbourne Speech Pathology Assistant program at Evergreen Valley College has developed a program that was specifically designed to meet the growing need of speech-language pathologists in school special education programs. The college provides an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree program in speech-language Pathology Assistance, that allows the student to work as an assistant under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist. This program follows the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association SLPA guidelines, and fulfills the California Department of Consumer Affairs requirements for SLPS registration.
